Where do you begin when deciding to get a facial?..

Shelley will create the facial that meets your needs that very day. She takes into consideration what medication you may be taking internally and topically. 

Sensitivities and allergies you may have will also play a role in her decision. Each facial will be custom blended right "on-the-spot". 

Herbs and plant extracts are utilized in her treatments and skin care products. No alcohol or mineral oil is used. Unique to Shelley's technique is her determining what level of penetration she chooses for your facial. In general, it works as follows:

On your very FIRST Facial treatment:

1. To protect your auto-immune system, Shelley works within the first SEVEN cellular tissue systems (CTS) of the top layer of your skin during your first facial. 

2. Thorough evaluation of all your skin functions are recorded. The holistic approach deals with all twenty-two "jobs" that your skin does for you daily. Some are completed during the day, others at nighttime. Shelley balances what hasn't been done yet, or not done well.

3. Shelley will create the solutions to best meet your skin's needs. At the end of the first facial you will see a VISIBLE difference in your face. You will FEEL a significant change in the texture of your skin.

On the Second Facial:

1. Shelley will work on and deeply clean the first THIRTEEN CTS of your skin. Once again a thorough review is taken, and her notes are updated.

2. Keeping close tabs on what your body needs makes for a facial fabulous experience. It also provides you with the finest results available.

AROMATHERAPY FACIALS: (takes 1 hr.)
Many people love to experience the joy of Aromatherapy. Shelley will adapt each selection to meet your specific needs. There are over 100 different Essential Oils that make up Aromatherapy treatments. Shelley is recognized in the industry as a leading authority on Aromatherapy. Her book "Salon Ovation's Guide To Aromatherapy" is the textbook used in every beauty school in the USA, Canada and Mexico. She will custom blend the right "formula" for you. The level of penetration of oil is determined by the above mentioned program for facials.

GLYCOLIC ACID PEELS: (each session is 15 min.)
In just six weeks you can have a refreshed appearance. Fine lines, blotchy pigment marks and irregular textures are all drastically diminished. Over the six-weekly sessions, Glycolic acid with variable strengths are used to create a newer, revitalized you. Because of Shelley's attention to detail, your décolleté, neck, hands and elbows are also refreshed and smoothed.

 Each provides you with a pampering experience. Each has a specific purpose in mind.

AYURVEDA BODY BALANCING: (takes from 21-47 min.)
This is the most unique and exciting massage therapy, Shelley has ever been trained to do. It is the most unusual treatment she has ever been able to offer you. It addresses the need to put your "brain" back to a mental "balance". It utilizes 150 Marma Points to make your entire body's nerve-endings relax. This massage does not relieve 
over worked or sore muscles.

IF your life is full of stress and you are feeling emotionally over-extended, than AYURVEDA is for you!

Some unusual requirements for obtaining this treatment are:

• You must wear 100% natural fiber clothing. Cotton is best. In fact, a sweat outfit is highly recommended. It is important to keep your body warm. During the Ayurveda session, Shelley will be raising your external body temperature to meet with your internal one. (Usually 98.6 degrees).

• You can not have any metal on your clothing. This includes zippers, snaps or even metal stays in underwire bras. No jewelry can be worn.

• For TWO hours after your session, you are advised not to drive on the freeway. Your motor response is slowed down and it is advisable to drive slowly.

BODY POLISHING: (takes only 30 min.)
There are times when you want your body to glisten and be satiny to the touch. Especially for a romantic evening, or when you are wearing a very low-cut, revealing outfit. This treatment will make your body feel velvety. A light massage is part of the session.

CELLULITE HERBAL TONING WRAP: (takes 90 min.)
When you are working to reduce your body fat, this treatment will aide you during your own work-out program. It does not take the place of exercise and dieting. It does help showcase your results and makes your body smoother and tighter to the touch. Its effect lasts up to three days. There is no water loss during the wrap. Ureic acid and other gasses are removed. 

For emergency situations, such as a special party dress that can not be "fit into", this wrap does reduce up to an accumulative ten inches from your ribcage/ waist to your knees.

HOT STONE THERAPY: (takes only 30 min.)
This is an ancient treatment that dates back to Eygpt and the Great Pyramids. It was used to relieve the exertion placed on the backs of the men that built the Pyramids. Sixteen weighted and heated lava stones are placed on your meridian points wherever your muscles are achy or tired. The relief is fast and you will be amazed how wonderful you feel when it is completed.

PARAFANGO MUD WRAP: (takes one hour)
This heated mud envelops your body to detoxify it from the inside out. While it is a bit messy, all the hard work is left to Shelley. You simply relax and slumber while the mud does the trick. You are advised to wear your "oldest" underwear, plus bring a second pair for afterwards. 

REFLEXOLOGY: (takes 15-30 min.)
An ancient Oriental acupressure therapy applied to the bottoms of your feet. It has been touted to be the "oldest form of medicine" dating back over 5,000 years. Shelley has written a textbook: "The Professional's Reflexology Handbook". This text is the source for training in Reflexology for all students in massage and beauty schools world-wide. The N.A.H.A. (National Assoc. of Holistic Practioners) ranks Shelley #1 in the US on her expertise in Reflexology.

Reflexology will inform you if there is an area of "concern" inside of your body. And it helps your body to send "assistance" to the area that needs it. If done correctly, Reflexology does not tickle, sometimes it can be slightly tender. Shelley is careful to work within your own personal limits.

SEA SALT BODY GLOW: (takes only 30 min.)
Perfect for anyone that has itchy or scratchy skin. Whether from a day at the beach, or on a cold mountain slope, your skin will be abused. Dry weather, or filtered air will also attack your skin, leaving it rough and dry. This treatment will leave your skin smooth, soft and free of any dead skin. It can easily be combined with the Body Polishing for a greater effect.

SHIATSU: (takes one hour)
This is a Japanese technique of acupressure. It works on the 2,200 Meridian pressure points of your body for personal stress relief. Shiatsu is a gentle massage. It will not work on sore, over-worked muscles.

EYELASH PERMING: (takes 45 min.)
This ancient Chinese process came to America in 1980. Since then thousands of women have loved the freedom it offers from having to fight with a barbaric lash curler. In addition, the process will double the volume of your top lashes. The mixture is made from eggs, but the Chinese will not reveal the actual "recipe". Shelley trained for two years before mastering this unique and fabulous service.

EYELASH TINTING: (takes 15 min.)
This is perfect for anyone with invisible, blonde lashes. Ideal for anyone that hates to wear mascara. Especially for sensitive eyes that cause you to rub and smear any makeup that you put on. If you are out in the hot sun, this will make your eyes look fantastic without the fear of "runny or melting" eye makeup. When combined with perming, these two processes together will put an end to needing any mascara on your lashes.

MAKEUP: (time varies)
